JUSTICE RUTH BADER GINSBURG DEAD AT AGE 87
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died at age 87 today, September 18, 20202, due to complications from pancreatic cancer.
Justice Ginsburg was sworn in as an Associate Justice in 1993, appointed by Bill Clinton. First Jewish woman to serve in the SUPREME COURT. Born in Brooklyn, NY, March 15, 1933. She received her B.A. from Cornell University attended Harvard Law School, and received her LL.B. from Columbia law School. Justice Ginsburg took her seat August 10, 1993.
Nine Justices make up the current Supreme Court: one Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices. The Honorable John G. Roberts, Jr., is the 17th Chief Justice of the United States, and there have been 102 Associate Justices in the Court’s history.
